“The ego wants resolution, wants to control impermanence, wants something secure and certain to hold onto. It freezes what is actually fluid, it grasps at what is in motion, it tries to escape the beautiful truth of the fully alive nature of everything.”
~ Pema Chödrön, Welcoming the Unwelcome

May we taste today the dance of the universe, the never stagnant nature of the whole, of the parts. Even you. Even me.
May we hold our hands and hearts aloft and open, feelers, antennae, whiskers. Our bodies loose, absorbing the blows without injury, receptive to the ripples of the winds, this storm of stardust, accepting. Ready to give way to the inarguable What Is.

Permanent impermanence.
May it bring freedom from our warped lenses,
Comfort where we feel stuck,
Humility where we soar too close to the sun.
May we step into the dance and be caught up, no concern for the steps.

“The less you struggle against the flow of life, the freer you become. Radical powerlessness is radical freedom, liberating you from the need to control the ocean of life and freeing you to learn how best to navigate it.”
~ Rabbi Remi Shapiro
